"Girls in STEM" in Ramechhap District

Nepal Engineers' Association (NEA) is much delighted to share that a school outreach program on "Girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)" in Shree Dahu Secondary School, Sunapati-4, Ramechhap district has been successfully organized by Women Coordination and Welfare Committee (WECWC) of NEA.
The program was chaired by Er. Kalpana Adhikari along with chief guest Principal Mr. Dal Bahadur Bal and member of WECWC Er. Asha Khanal hosted the event.
About 60 girls of the school participated in the event where Executive Member of NEA, Er. Kushalta Nyoupane illustrated the essence, opportunities and challenges of STEM education and engineering to the students. Dr. Er. Shantakala Subedi encouraged the students towards engineering sharing her professional and academic experiences and achievements while members of WECWC Er. Prativa Dhakal, Er. Rasmita Banjara, Er. Laxmi Nepal, Er. Anita Panthi and engineering students Susmita Regmi and Sangita Bhusal shared the reasons for pursuing engineering and their experiences in the field.
Also, WECWC presented a token of Memory to the school and some stationary and reading materials to the students.
