The Nepal Engineers' Association (NEA) recently conducted its biennial election, with engineers from across the country voting to elect the 34th Central Executive Committee and the Third Provincial Executive Committees for all seven provinces. The election was held in 14 locations, with Kathmandu utilizing electronic voting machines (EVMs) for the first time. Voting through EVMs offers many benefits, which were clearly demonstrated for the first time in NEA's history. It significantly improved the accuracy and saved time during both the voting and counting process.
The 34th Central Executive Committee has been elected, with Er. Subash Chandra Baral as President, followed by Er. Prakash K.C. as Vice President, Er. Binod Prakash Pandit as General Secretary, Er. Anil Manandhar as Deputy General Secretary, Er. Suman Thapa as Treasurer, Er. Krishna Prasad Pokharel as Joint Treasurer, and twelve Members.
